Indian cook stove PoA staff visit Uganda
The German development agency (GIZ) arranged for the visit of members of an Indian Cook Stoves PoA and one of its CPAs to visit UCB and ICSEA staff in the Kampala office.
The Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Renewable Energy (SSS-NIRE) will manage the PoA. The group also travelled to Lira to spend time with the International Lifeline Fund, the ICSEA PoA’s first CPA. The Indian delegation was given a practical briefing about the real-life experiences of running a CDM/Gold Standard cook stove PoA. Such South-South links are part of the UCB’s forward programme.
